Presiden Federasi Pencak Silat Asia Sheik Alauddin Yacoob Marican mengaku sangat kecewa dengan kinerja juri yang bertugas di Asian Games 2018.
Menurut Alauddin tak hanya dia yang kecewa, tapi negara-negara peserta lain juga merasakan hal yang sama. Begitu juga dengan atlet, ofisial, dan federasi negara-negara lain.
"Saya kecewa, sejak hari pertama kecurangan wasit dan juri terlihat. Kami sudah memberitahu bahwa jangan ada yang coba berat sebelah, harus konsisten, bersih, dan transparan," kata Alauddin yang juga manajer timnas pencak silat Singapura itu di Padepokan Pencak Silat TMII, Rabu (29/8).
"Tapi di sini saya melihat, tidak ada hanya dari Singapura, tapi dari negara lain juga ada yang janggal, banyak," tambahnya.Khusus di nomor seni, lanjut Alauddin, semua atlet yang tampil di Asian Games 2018 merupakan atlet profesional. Namun hasilnya, jarak poin yang tercipta untuk pemenang terlalu jauh dengan peringkat kedua dan ketiga. Bahkan, antara peraih medali emas dan perak ada yang terpaut 10 sampai 20 poin lebih.
"Kedua saya kecewa sekali, Asian Games seharusnya dipikirkan lagi untuk bagaimana ada lagi pencak silat pada edisi selanjutnya di China 2022. Kalau begini, China akan berpikir kenapa mau memasukkan pencak silat di sana, sedangkan mereka tidak bisa menang. Seharusnya yang dipikirkan adalah masa depan olahraga ini," ucap Alauddin.
Kendati demikian, Alauddin mengaku akan tetap bekerja keras meski penilaian juri di Asian Games 2018 dianggapnya mengecewakan."Kami harus mengevaluasi wasit juri untuk bagaimana lebih netral dan lebih transparan. Mungkin dengan memakai body detector seperti yang ada di taekwondo, supaya lebih fair. Kalau seperti ini tidak fair, saya kecewa sekali," ujar Alauddin yang pernah meraih gelar juara dunia pencak silat tahun 1990 dan 1994 itu.
"Tapi kami paham, ini olahraga subjektif, bukan atletik yang terukur. Kalau seperti ini saya sangat kecewa. Sangat tidak puas. Saya sudah bicara tapi mereka tak mau dengar. Takut ada perpecahan dari negara-negara lain," sambungnya.
Sampai saat ini Indonesia tampil sebagai juara umum dengan mengantongi 11 medali emas dari 16 nomor yang dipertandingkan di pencak silat Asian Games 2018. Singapura meraih dua perak dan tiga perunggu.
Pencak Silat ke Olimpiade
Dominasi Indonesia di Asian Games 2018 juga membuat sulit langkah pencak silat masuk ke Olimpiade. Alauddin mengaku sejak 2007 sudah membuat proposal agar pencak silat masuk cabor di Olimpiade 2032."Tapi kalau sistemnya seperti ini, payah juga. Masuk Olimpiade tidak mudah. Harus ada 40 negara yang berasal dari tiga zona berbeda yang punya NOC (National Olympic Committee). Federasinya harus transparan, sistemnya harus rapih, harus bisa ikuti olympic movement," tutur Alauddin.
Sementara itu Ketua Umum Pengurus Besar Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia (PB IPSI) Prabowo Subianto membantah rumor soal kecurangan wasit. Ia menilai prestasi yang diraih dinilai berkat kerja keras para atlet.
"Kami bangga dengan mereka, hasil kerja mereka, hasil latihan hampir tiga tahun, mereka kerja keras. Ini keberhasilan kita semua. Sebetulnya kami tidak kasih target lagi karena sudah melampaui harapan. Targetnya harapannya Olimpiade," terang Prabowo.
